Birds in Winter

The race is on!  Do you have your supplies ready for the big snow storm? The weatherperson is sometimes right on…what do you think this time? Interesting, walking in the garden today with Sugar Bear…some of the unfenced shrubs have split from the last snow…lots of pruning when the snow melts off this spring.  The finch birds have almost emptied their feeders…I’ll have to refill all of them before the storm. The heated bird bath is a welcome sight for the many winged ones flocking to it…cardinals, blue jays, and woodpeckers are the biggest and the bullies…but the little ones wait their turn and there is plenty of water.

Be safe shoveling and walking, take a vacation day if you can, enjoy the covered trees, be glad for winter.
