Deer Resistant, spectacular foliage fern
Autumn Fern, drypoteris erythosora, has spectacular foliage color that lasts all season. New fronds uncurl as a pinkish-copper color and then mature to rich green. It’s a 18-14 inch evergreen perennial fern that is perfect for adding texture in shady areas of the garden. Will also grow well in containers.
US Zone 3-8, this fern is visually attractive for it’s foliage. It has no fragrance and grows moderately fast. As a perennial fern, it likes shade, maybe a little morning sun, well drained average soil suits it fine with moderate rainfall.
