Sugar Bear is 11 years old this April…she is in pristine condition…her veterinarian is at the Southdale Pet Clinic in Edina, MN.  Sugar Bear gets lot of attention to be sure she stays healthy.  She gets her teeth brushed 3 times a week…no bad breath for her.  She gets her ears cleaned…which she doesn’t like very much…but she co-operates because she gets 1/2 of a dog treat. We walk Sugar Bear every day…brush her often…and in the winter she loves to lay in the snow and look all around to see what’s going on in her neighborhood.

Sugar Bear has a very heavy coat, and so summertime often finds her standing in a child’s swimming pool.  She likes to lay under the birch tree in the morning until the sun is at noon-day…then she is ready for my office in the lower level of the house.

Smokey Bear, a barn cat, is her best friend…however, the cat is the alpha one.  It is pretty funny to see a 12 pound cat take over a 120 pound dog bed whenever he wants it.  Sugar Bear just gets up and goes somewhere else…Life at Gentle Gardens is always an adventure with these two pals.
